چکیده
Associated to a newform f (z) is a Dirichlet series L f (s) with functional equation and Euler product. Hecke showed that if the Dirichlet series F (s) has a functional equation of the appropriate form, then F (s) = L f (s) for some holomorphic newform f (z) on Γ(1). Weil extended this result to Γ 0 (N) under an assumption on the twists of F (s) by Dirichlet characters. We show that, at least for small N, the assumption on twists can be replaced by an assumption on the local factors of the Euler product of F (s).

A Weak Multiplicity-one Theorem for Siegel Modular Forms
In a recent paper by Breulmann and Kohnen [BK99], the authors obtain a weak multiplicity-one result on (integral weight) Siegel-Hecke cuspidal eigenforms of degree 2, showing that such forms are completely determined by their coefficients on matrices of the form mS, where S is primitive and m is square-free. To show this, they twist Andrianov’s identity relating the Maaß-Koecher series and the ...

متن کاملExamples of non-quasicommutative semigroups decomposed into unions of groups
Decomposability of an algebraic structure into the union of its sub-structures goes back to G. Scorza's Theorem of 1926 for groups. An analogue of this theorem for rings has been recently studied by A. Lucchini in 2012. On the study of this problem for non-group semigroups, the first attempt is due to Clifford's work of 1961 for the regular semigroups. Since then, N.P. Mukherjee in 1972 studied...

We consider the universal central extension of the Lie algebra Vect(S 1)⋉C ∞ (S 1). The coadjoint representation of this Lie algebra has a natural geometric interpretation by matrix analogues of the Sturm-Liouville operators. This approach leads to new Lie superalgebras generalizing the well-known Neveu-Schwartz algebra.
